20.1 AETHER MANSES

Portal Commands
---------------

These commands can be performed by anyone at the Aether chamber or a portals chamber in a city or commune.

PORTAL SEARCH [SHOPS|<player>] [<item>]
  - Shows you a list of aether manses you are allowed entry to.
  - Must be in the Aetherplex Chamber or a City/Commune Portals Chamber.
  - Options include the search for:
    - A specific player has a manse open for you. PORTAL SEARCH <player>
    - Any shop that is open for you. PORTAL SEARCH SHOPS
    - Any shop selling a specific item that's open to you.
      PORTAL SEARCH SHOPS <item>

PORTAL ENTER <manse ID>
  - Command to enter a manse from the Aetherplex Chamber or a City/Commune
    Portals Chamber that the manse has been allowed a connection.

PORTAL EXIT [Aetherplex|city/commune name]
  - From the fulcrux, command to exit the manse to either the Aetherplex or
    a city/commune that the manse has been allowed a connection.
    Example: PORTAL EXIT MAGNAGORA or PORTAL EXIT AETHERPLEX.

Manse Building
--------------

Manses are built with one Fulcrux Orb (which creates the first room) and as many Room Boxes as you want (which creates additional rooms).

The Aetherware Shop is located north of the Aetherplex, and there you can buy the following:

Fulcrux Orb
  - IMPRINT ORB WITH <name> This will be the one-word identifier for your manse.
  - Go to the Aetherplex portal room and TURN ORB to create the fulcrux
    of your manse.
  - Use PORTAL ENTER <name> to enter manse. It is wise to set permissions
    right away.

Room Box
  - Creates a new room and exit. MUST HAVE A MANSE ALREADY!
  - Syntax: TURN AETHERBOX <dir>
  - NOTE: Cannot make an exit DOWN from the fulcrux room (reserved for
    shop artifact).

Doors
  - Purchase a door from the shop first, obviously
  - ATTACH DOOR <dir> This attaches a door to the exit.
  - DETACH DOOR <dir> Removes a door and places a door item in your inv to
    reattach later.

Description Guidelines
----------------------

Aethermanses are infinitely flexible and can be most everything their owners dream them up to be. The only requirement is that the titles and descriptions of the rooms be in-character and generally following the game's design standards for those as seen elsewhere. This is due to certain skills, artifacts, and other means that others might use to glean information about your manse as part of their gameplay. 

Outside of using these features as means of harassment, having rooms that do not follow these guidelines is not something that could bring about disciplinary action. We might ask you to change them however.

Manse Commands
--------------

MANSE LIST
  - Lists your manses.

MANSE ROOM LIST <manse>
  - Lists the rooms in a manse.

MANSE SET MANSE TITLE <title>
  - Sets the title of the house you're standing in.
  - Costs 1000 gold.
  - Limit of 55 characters.

MANSE SET MANSE NAME <name>
  - Reset the one-word identifier reference for your manse.
  - Costs 1000 gold.

MANSE SET ROOM TITLE <title>
  - Sets the room title for the room you are in.
  - Costs 1000 gold.
  - Limit of 55 characters.

MANSE EDIT ROOM DESC/DESCRIPTION
  - Sends you into the editor to edit the description of this room.
  - Costs 1000 gold.

MANSE DESTROY ROOM <direction>
  - Destroys a room in the <direction>.
  - You will get half cost (75,000 gold) in a refund.
  - You cannot destroy a room such that any other rooms would be cut off
    from the rest of the world.
  - You cannot destroy a room that has any doors in it.
  - Everything in a room that you destroy will be destroyed along with the
    room.

MANSE CREATE EXIT <direction> <other room in house>
  - Create an exit within a house.
  - Costs 100 gold.
  - Use MANSE ROOM LIST <house> to see a list of rooms in that house.

MANSE DESTROY EXIT <direction>
  - Destroys an exit. It will not let you strand rooms such that they're
    cut off from the rest of the world.
  - Costs 100 gold.

MANSE SET DOOR PERMS/PERMISSIONS <dir> <permission>
  - Sets permissions on who can open the door.
  - If no permissions are set, anyone will be able to open the door.
  - See HELP PERMISSIONS for more information on permissions.

MANSE LIST DOOR PERMS/PERMISSIONS <dir>
  - List the permissions on a door.

MANSE REMOVE DOOR PERMS/PERMISSIONS <dir> <permission string>
  - Removes a specific door permission.

MANSE CLEAR DOOR PERMS/PERMISSIONS <dir>
  - Clears a door's permissions.

MANSE SET FULCRUX PERMS/PERMISSIONS <permission>
  - Sets permissions on who can enter your manse.
  - If no permissions are set, anyone will be able to enter the manse.
  - See HELP PERMISSIONS for more information on permissions.

MANSE LIST FULCRUX PERMS/PERMISSIONS
  - List the permissions on your manse.

MANSE REMOVE FULCRUX PERMS/PERMISSIONS <permission string>
  - Removes a specific permission from your manse.

MANSE CLEAR FULCRUX PERMS/PERMISSIONS
  - Clears your manse's permissions.

MANSE SET ROOM PERMS/PERMISSIONS
  - Sets permissions on who can edit a room's description.
  - See HELP PERMISSIONS for more information on permissions.

MANSE LIST ROOM PERMS/PERMISSIONS
  - List the permissions on a room.

MANSE REMOVE ROOM PERMS/PERMISSIONS
  - Removes a specific permission from a room.

MANSE CLEAR ROOM PERMS/PERMISSIONS
  - Clears a room's permissions.

MANSE TRANSFER <name> TO <player>
  - Transfers your manse, and anything in it(shop, etc.) to said person.
  - You MUST use the full name of the person when transferring a manse -
    otherwise, you may find yourself sending it to the wrong person.

MANSE DEED TO <org>
  - Deeds a manse to an organisation.


City/Commune Commands
-------------------------------

Available to the power minister or his/her aides.

COMMUNE/CITY PORTAL LIST
  - Lists the portals open to the city portals chamber.

COMMUNE/CITY PORTAL CONNECT <manse ID>
  - Add a connection to the city portals chamber.
  - Costs 1000 power

COMMUNE/CITY PORTAL DISCONNECT <manse ID>
  - Remove a connection to the city portals chamber.
  - No cost.
