The Astral Experience by Kharvik

Merit for April 2005

There lies a world
In a distant plane
Where twisted creatures do dwell
Should you venture
Forth to see
You would believe you were in hell

Comprised of twelve
Spinning spheres
The plane is ever turning
Each sphere its own
Living horror
Constantly moving, constantly churning

We begin our trip on Capricorn
Where the stainless steel goats do thrive
A world of metallic structures
The goats here feast on travelers
To keep themselves alive

Our next stop lies just to the south
On the sphere of Aries
Mountainous regions
Twisted forests
Abhorrences roam, best be wary

Now on to the west, Sagittarius
Black robed obesefessors here study
Careful though
Not too close
If you do things could turn bloody

To the south is Virgo
A sandy landscape is this
Home of the emaciated virgins
Violent and pale
They'll bleed you dry with their vampiric kiss

To the west, Aquarius
Pools of blood and bone
The acidic urns here are quite brutal
When they splash their contents on your skin
You will definitely moan

Back to the south now, Cancer
A fleshy terrain indeed
Monstrous lobstrosities, clicking and scuttling
Plunging their pincers into your chest
They're big on making you bleed

From Cancer southeast to Pisces
On to this fishy sphere
Paralyzing, entangling
Power stealing, bloated
Parasites crawl about here

South once more to Gemini
A palace in the sky
Vicious beasts
Razor sharp beaks
They could make even the toughest mortal cry

West through Aquarius and west once more
A putrid stench blankets all rooms
You can tell this must be Libra
Sadistic mitrans, wielding their scales
Could spell your impending doom

West yet again
Out in the courtyard
Three-horned bulls charge to and fro
Careful on Taurus, avoid these beasts
For they will stab their horns deep in you hard

North now to Leo
This sphere has some interesting grounds
A run down restaurant, with blood spattered floors
Lies seemingly vacant
The fesix inside though have caught our scent, their smell as good as a hounds

Flee off to the east, on to Scorpio
Gargantuan scorpions crawl about
Moving in the Shadows
Stalking their pray
Tail poised to strike, you let out a deafening shout.
