4.26 LOOTING CORPSES

Looting or searching corpses for gold or items is never needed here. If you kill a denizen (mobile/NPC), any gold or items they may have had will drop to the ground and be available for you to pick up. 

Retrieving Loot
---------------
o Acquisitio Enchantment - automatically picks up things from the ground. RUB the enchantment to activate it. Bought in shops, also available to Ritualists. Newbies receive it as a gift from the Fates during the tutorial.

o AvariceHorn Enchantment - automatically picks up gold from the ground. BLOW on the horn that has been enchanted with the spell to activate it. 

o Artifact Yoyo - works the same way as Acquisitio - see ASHOP 477.

Using Corpses
-------------
Many corpses, especially those in the areas of Newton Caverns, may be sold to certain interested buyers. Finding those buyers is a quest in itself but they will usually be in the very same area.

Should nobody be willing to reward you for a particular corpse, you may use them as offerings at a shrine to whichever Divine you wish. These offerings help the Divinity in mysterious ways unfathomable to mere mortals. It can never hurt to have one of the Elder Gods of Lusternia happy with you, and it may help a great deal.

Adventurer (player) corpses are not handled in the same way. If you do manage to kill another adventurer, neither gold nor possessions are dropped. The adventurer leaves a corpse that may be offered up to the Divine, immolated at a Nexus, or used in other ways.
