Gnafia Defeated But Seals Weakened

The Gnafia were finally defeated after it was discovered they were using an ancient artifact known as the Eight Rings of the Aether Kings. These were actually locations, each a ruin of a device used by the Elder Gods during the Elder Wars and subsequently hidden. After the Gnafia were defeated, the rings were claimed by the cities and communes of the Basin. Unfortunately, the Gnafia originally used the energies from the Nine Seals to power the artifact, causing the Nine Seals to decay and thus an Ascension has begun to rebuild the seals.
