11.2.6 DIVINE CULTS AND VENERATION

When an Elder god appoints an avatar to represent them in the First World, they open up the possibility for that Avatar to form a cult within their order, which focuses on one facet of the Divine's personality or interests.

There are a few prerequisites to forming a cult. Firstly, the Avatar must choose a location within their patron's temple that will house the altar to the cult. Secondly, the chosen Avatar who forms the cult must have learned the Veneration Power as a demigod (costs 75 million essence). And thirdly, the Avatar must have 10 million essence to create the cult with their patron.

Once a cult is formed, the Avatar can MEDITATE UPON their <Patron> to increase their connection to the Elder's essence and learn new abilities within Veneration. The Avatar is also able to welcome other members of their divine order into their cult and thus grant those cult members access to the veneration skillset as well.

Both the cult leader and cult members can offer essence at the cult's altar to imbue the cult with its own essence, and the cult leader can imbue the cult with their personal essence. Most abilities within veneration require the cult's essence, rather than the divine's or Avatar's personal supply.

Cults have their own help scrolls that can be accessed with CULTHELP, and the general base syntax for cults is CULT.
