7.21.9 BREWMEISTER ITEMS

Brewmeister specialises alchemy, though forgoes the mystical nature thereof in lieu of producing more standard beverages, such as beers and teas.

Beers
-----
* Beers are alcoholic beverages brewed from malt. All beers cause alcohol intoxication upon consumption, but also have other effects.

o PaleMalt - Beers brewed from pale malt have extremely high alcohol potency.

o AmberMalt - Beers brewed from amber malt cause a short-term deadening of pain.

o DarkMalt - Beers brewed from dark malt cause a short-term increase in damage dealt by the drinker.


Teas
----
* Teas are non-alcoholic beverages brewed from tea leaves. Sipping a tea will provide a defense which will block certain afflictions. After blocking an affliction, the effect is lost. Only one tea defense may be active at a time.

o WhiteTea - White tea will protect against stupidity, deadening, and dementia.

o OolongTea - Oolong tea will protect against recklessness, peace, and pacifism.

o GreenTea - Green tea will protect against paralysis, weakness, and rigormortis.

o BlackTea - Black tea will protect against epilepsy, blackout, and clumsiness.

o Chilling - Using a snowball, a brewmeister can chill teas to convert it to an iced variant, which will provide resistance against heat-based movement penalties.

o TeaCeremony - If enough people are present, a brewmeister can perform a tea ceremony with a specified type of tea that will give all attendees a blessing that will resist afflictions for a time. Specifically, there is a 1-in-7 chance to resist the afflictions corresponding to the type of tea used in the ceremony.


Misc

o Brews, Spirits, Wines - These are shared with cooks, and have no particular effects beyond intoxication.

o Absinthe - For most people, this is simply an intoxicating drink which may cause hallucinations. However, for dreamweavers, the beverage can be used to inflate the weaver's health and mana in dreambody form.

o MagicInk - Magic ink is used by bookbinders and skilled enchanters to create magical writings and etchings.
