Heeelloo Basin.
This is EVERYBODY'S favourite Faechild. Yes, even Terentia loves me so
much She tries to keep my feet warm with those constant flares of blue
fire. At any rate, one of Her pet fish decided to send me a letter.
Now, this is not odd in and of itself - since everyone loves me, I often
do recieve letters of love, and those of hate, bourn most often of
jealousy, and indeed those whom know what I did with that squirrel last
Dvarsh.
However, this letter was very dear to me - for, though it was, sadly,
unsigned, it pointed out something wonderful about Celest that I thought
I would share with the unenlightened.
The letter begins:
"This war could of been avoided if Serenwilde would of simply declare
Celestia off limits for killing angels,"
Aye, it could have been. But at the same time, the Serenwilde has
recently had a bruised and injured ego and honor - and we, as a forest,
agreed not to bow to the demands and eventual threats of New Celest.
"much like we vowed not to bother your fae. Serenwilde is the most
immature community in this entire basin, and does not deserve to exist."
I will return to that first piece later. However, this second sentence
of their letter intrigues me. I find it flawed in several ways. However,
to give them the benefit of the doubt, there are two ways one can view
"maturity" - it could be simple age. If it was simple age, I fear, they
would be wrong, for our cousins to the South are a much more recently
formed commune than the Wilde. Indeed, we were unbroken by the Taint,
and, as the last Bastion of Nature, held our ground.
Now, another way to look at "maturity" is to compare it by it's
behavior. Indeed, singing songs of honeycakes and dancing about with Fae
and eating sugared candies and Nature's bountiful gifts of the harvest
might not sound like a mature thing, but at least we don't run around
hugging each other in the name of something that honestly believes
EVERYONE can get along with just a little bit of love - and playing with
squid.
And, as to our right to existence - who are you to say we do not exist?
Let it be noted, we did not unleash the Taint upon the Basin. We did not
ignore the wisdom of the Spirits - all of the Spirits of Nature, known
for their auguries and prophecies, though sometimes cryptic always true
- and plunge into the Supra Plane, and unleash Kethuru the Almighty. We
did not end the existence of poor Gloriana, as did your cousins of
Hallifax. We did not host the Devourer, as did Magnagora, nor did we
foolishly release the Dark Emperor into the world, as did your cousins
in Gaudiguch. So do not speak to me of another's right to existence - it
is you of the cities that deserve non-existence - at least Magnagora
owns up to their beastial, vile existence - Celest parades around behind
the veil of Compassion and this concept of "The Light", as though
slaying Fae, attacking the Spirits that forewarned you, and allying with
that which you unleashed and spent hundreds of years fighting, seeking
to punish the last Bastion of Nature for refusing to bow to the will of
this New Celestine Empire.
"They break treaties, lie, and do things to annoy all other other
communities in the basin."
Treaties? We've broken no "treaties". The only thing we've "broken" in
anyone's eyes is the slaver's pact made with Glomdoring - one which we
were released from. Even the Dark Spirits returned to Glomdoring,
realizing their mistake. Obviously you Celestians are illiterate AND
idiotic. As to the lies - why should we waste the words of truth on the
ignorant? You ignore them anyway - why should we bother to give you the
cold, harsh truth whilst you live in your fantasy land of whims and
make-believe? Thirdly, as to the other communities in the Basin, I
highly doubt Magnagora is "annoyed" by the Serenwilde. They've done
nothing but profit from Celest's idiotic war. And as to Glomdoring -
well, I'll not bother. I've said it a hundred times over.
"Also, your commune is extremely selfish, doing things without
consideration that it might hurt others, as long as you benifit from
it."
...Coming from the City that told the Spirits where to plant their
prophecies and on what trees to sit on, all in search of power and gain,
coming from the City that wages war against the Wilde, in an attempt to
subdue Her to their whims.. Coming from the City that slaughtered Fae in
an attempt to slay Gorgulu - indeed, coming from the City that attacks
the very soul of Lusternia and all life on it in an attempt to force
others to their will - a lot of hypocrites you are. Aye, we say burn the
rest of the Basin, for the Wilde is most important - the Wilde, and the
Spirits, and Nature. Celest has said the same, replacing "Wilde" with
"Celest" and "Spirits" with "Cosmic Abominations" and "Nature" with
"Vile wretched bitch Elohora and Her harem of corrupted, enslaved,
poisoned and slaughtered fae and other unnatural abominations such as
angels".
And now, for their grand finale:
"I'm not surprised that your forests have burned down yet."
Ask Terentia how Her setting the Wilde on fire worked the last time.
Actually, just go look at the Northern Wall.
