Enough rambling

Ladies, gentlemen and merians,

Recently, Kalodan, in an attempt to reply to a provocative letter, wrote
a long, rambling and hardly coherent scrawl on the public boards.

I think I speak for all the civilized peoples of the Basin (And by
'civilized', I mean civil and capable of dialogue - That does not
include the two ravenous bands of warring barbarians Kalodan concerns
himself with) when I say that, although this so-called 'war' is highly
amusing, and although the idiotic taunts flying away from both sides are
a great form of comical relief, hearing the same tired, dead, ancient
arguments claiming one side's moral superiority (Not that either side
has any morals, anyway) are getting tiring.

Serenwilde, we have heard your whining rhethoric about how you had
nothing to do with the Taint time and time again. What we haven't heard
is that, instead of helping those that were harmed in the strife, you
decided to sit on your isolation and pretend nothing had happened. Don't
scream about how you're better than everyone because you listened to a
few retrograde, near-sighted spirits while they screamed about doom and
gloom. I'm not even going to claim that the Taint was, on the whole,
beneficial; even before its may benefits to the Basin began to show, you
were still wrong. Please, stop pointing fingers.

New Celest, your promise to keep the Fae alone was admirable, but
incredibly stupid. Did you actually think the barbaric, uncultured
savages would leave you alone? Serenwilde is not a nation, it is a
horde, and you should have not expected anything from it.

As usual, being one of the few people who are both sane and willing to
help you two lesser peoples deal with your issues, I offer my services
as a mediator - at a distance, of course. I would not accept to take
part in a meeting in person because, if the danger of being slaughtered
by a berserk, bloodthirsty barbarian wasn't enough, I have an
excessively sensitive sense of decency, aesthetics and smell to be
expected to stand near one of you for an extended period of time.

In extreme, extended, highly patient good faith,
- Tainted Mage Verithrax
