The Wyrd

Greetings Basin, as you are aware Elryn has so blissfully depicted the
Wyrd as a corruptive force we believe, we being the Glomdoring, to be
'more powerful' then the natural order. I will correct this now, as I do
not think it is fair for your perceptions to be so altered by someone as
obviously opposed to the concept of the wyrd as Elryn to define it for
you.

To Elryn, I would request you to please not attempt to define what it is
people of Glomdoring believe in, we are all individuals under our Lady
and her brother. We have individual concepts and precepts of everything
in the world. As a community we hold beliefs that are mutually accepted
among us. I will now explain to you what I, as a representitive of the
Lady who is responsible and as we believe the mother of the Wyrd,
believe the Wyrd to essentially be.

The Wyrd is not a corruption of nature, it is nature in its strongest
form. The wyrd is that bit of nature which was able to survive and
resist the onslaught of the taint within the great forest while for the
years before the Lady came to restore it and give it rebirth. It is that
dormant aspect that lay deep beneath the taint and was brought forth
recently. It was the only part of what you call 'nature' that was able
to resist the pervasive effect of the taint and remain true. We believe
that this proves that it is stronger then the general nature. I will
give you that all nature has a purpose, and it should all be respected.
However we believe that unlike some fragile parts of nature, the Wyrd is
perhaps its strongest aspect. Indeed there is one spot along the river
of Glomdoring that varily and glows with the green natural energy of the
Wyrd where it has broken through to the surface once more.

If you would like a more detailed explanation of the Wyrd I will be
writing a scroll on it in the near future. In the future though, Elryn,
please refrain from making judgements on how we, or any others feel.
Only the people can say what they feel, and no one, save maybe the Lady
Estarra, can tell completely what lays in the hearts of mortals. It is
that enigma that I believe makes the Divine so interested in us, that
and other things of course.

At anyrate I shall wrap this up with a challenge to those who accuse
each other of hypocrisy, a challenge to be taken seriously. I challenge
you thus, argue the others side and allow them to argue yours and do it
to win the debate, not half heartedly. Through this we can begin to
understand our opponents and even ourselves better then previously.
