DISTURBING DREAMS PLAGUE THE BASIN

Across the Basin, Mages and Druids alike have recently been assailed by
incredible nightmares. Mages known to be perfectly healthy only months
ago have reported onsets of insomnia, allegedly triggered by a series of
visions detailing the destruction of New Celest's nexus of power, the
Pool of Stars.

A handful of high-ranking Geomancers have reported that members of the
Aquamancers have been told, via these dreams, that by sacrificing the
Pool of Stars they may gain some form of 'ultimate power', of which no
more details could be discerned. Whether any Aquamancers are heeding
this odd call is yet to be seen. All Aquamancers contacted for the
purpose of this report offered "No comment".

The Geomancers themselves have been instructed by these dreams to put a
halt to the Aquamancer's activities. This gives some credit to the
Aquamancer's visions; if they were false, no doubt the Geomancers would
simply stand by and watch them destroy the Pool of Stars.

Deepening this mystery even further is the involvement of Serenwilde's
Hartstone Druids. Although apparently suffering from unnatural dreams as
well, all Druids contacted refused to provide any information. It has
been confirmed, however, that the Hartstone's very own teacher, 'Dain',
has entered an unexplainable coma. His condition has neither worsened
nor improved since entering the coma. Hartstone officials believe this
to be connected somehow to the conspiracy surrounding the Pool of Stars.

I sit writing this in the middle of the haunted Spectre Island, where
groups of Magnagorans and Celestians are clashing for control of the
land. The exact purpose of this conflict is unknown right now, in
relation to the other recent happenings, but it is my hope that all of
this will become clear in the future. I'm afraid I must put down my
quill, as a rather large Viscanti is ordering me to leave the Island as
we speak. Expect more updates in the near future.
