SWEET DREAMS AT LAST?
By Barry P., Head Reporter of the LNS
For the sake of completion, as promised, an update to my earlier story.
It seems I angered a number of you with my words, but you must
understand that my job is simply to present the facts, as well as I know
them, in as unbiased a fashion as possible. I'm just the messenger.
Over the last month, all three forces managed to sort out the puzzles of
their dreams and unlock the art known as 'Dreamweaving', which had been
lost since the the fall of the Holy Celestine Empire. The last known
master of Dreamweaving was Emperor Ladantine himself, who is said to
have used it greatly to his advantage.
The first to unlock the secret were the Hartstone, followed by the
Aquamancers, then the Geomancers. All three groups have launched into
comprehensive studies of Dreamweaving, analyzing each facet of the skill
with a keen eye. Not everyone, however, was content with a simple
learning experience. A number Magnagoran shops were found robbed soon
after this months discoveries, almost certainly by new Dreamweavers,
eager to make the most of their newfound abilities. It is highly
suggested that all shopowners protect their Stockrooms with monolith and
eye sigils.
Mere hours later, Astral travellers began reporting sightings of odd
dream manifestations throughout the Plane. It has been found that
slaying these mighty creatures and delivering their sand to the aspects
and Lords dwelling in the Ethereal, Water, and Earth planes helps to
strengthen the essence related to those planes by filling them with
power.
As for these aspects, they have appeared throughout the planes along
with the manifestations. A monolith of stone, newly arisen in Ethereal
Serenwilde, transports those who enter it to the nature aspects: A white
doe, white stag, white foal, and white buck. The Elemental Lords of
Earth reign from atop the Mountains of Madness, in the Citadel of Rock:
Klaymech, Lord of the Soiled Earth; Brom, Lord of the Pocked Boulder;
Bhalegu, Lord of the Blasted Sand; and Gravynia, Lady of the Cracked
Stone.
In breaking news, just before I discovered the underwater cavern of the
Elemental Water Lords, a large force of Magnagorans swept through the
Water Plane and slew every last Water Lord. Reaction from New Celest has
been limited, but needless to say the citizens I spoke to seemed shocked
and angered by this development. Whether or not the City of Light will
be launching a counterattack against the Earth Plane is yet to be seen.
This has been Barry P., reporting for the LNS. Have a nice day.
P.S. Special thanks to Thorgal for rescuing me from the Mountains of
Madness during my search for the Earth Lords!
