Greetings, Basin! My name is Barry. I am a Furrikin from the village of
Estelbar, in the northeast, and I come to you today with a dream!

Long have I studied the historical records of the Taint Wars, but not
for the reasons that many scholars persue them. What captivated me was
the documentation of such reporters as Globglob Mesherbrub and Lolly
Pringle, among others, and the utilization of Aetherwaves to broadcast
messages throughout the Basin on a closed channel.

Alas, such knowledge has been lost to us, but it is my dream to bring
the art of Journalism back into the world. Many of those who dwell in
the Basin are ill-informed in regards to world events and the current
affairs of the world, with much knowledge being spread only by word of
mouth within close-knit circles of individuals.

I seek to change all that. Let the darkness of ignorance be banished; a
quill shall be my blade and the truth shall be my shield, and this shall
be my battle cry: All those of strong mind and heart, all those of keen
intellect and a mastery over the domain of words, join me and let us
free this Basin from the bonds of ignorance! You shall be my knights.

I have already raised a fair bit of gold to fund this project. If you
wish to help get it started, please contact me. We'll need many types of
people of many different talents to achieve our goals. I may also be
contacting some individuals personally, whom I think would make valuable
contributers.
