To whom it may concern:
I am writing to register my consternation at the use certain parties
have been making of the Magnagoran Public News. I do not believe, though
I may be wrong, that the News is a forum for personal attacks. I would
respectfully submit that the recent reference to certain parties as
"stupid" and "elfen scum" is completely insulting; the fact that the
party involved intended said comments as insulting does not, in and of
itself, excuse the insult. I am certainly in no position of authority
from which to dictate terms, but quite frankly, no matter what your
stance is on the elfen issue it should be apparent to everyone that
citizens do not have the right to abuse the news as they have been
doing; it is not, to my knowledge, a billboard for every insulting
thought that comes into your head. I have never used the News before
because I did not feel that I had anything important enough to say;
however, given what has been put up here recently, it would seem that
just about anything qualifies. I was offended reading the recent posts,
offended both in general at this use of a public channel and
specifically on behalf of people I like and respect, and it seems to me
that the only person spreading propaganda in this city, Silvanus, is
you.
