Raziela VI

I've never felt the need to write for this forum before, but now I must
break my silence. While Xavius' suggested rewording of this law is not
popular, I feel it holds true to the precepts of the Light as expressed
in the Coveneant of New Celest and in the Paladin's Code. Methrenton
speaks of fighting back the Taint; but Methrenton was formed long before
the Taint entered the Basin, and he must have had a purpose then.
Perhaps his mission extends beyond simply fighting the Taint, and
includes extending the Light throughout the world? Shakiniel calls us to
defend the well being of the Light and of those who follow it; how
better to do so than to bring new disciples into its fold? But of all
the Supernals, Raziela is most clear on this. Here I shall quote
directly from the Covenant: 'As we nurture the Glowing Arbour of
Raziela, so too are we wont to nurture the growth of the Basin and the
life within it. Holding in our hearts the beauty of love and compassion,
we aim to bring those outside of the Light to its splendor, and
proliferate the good will of all those who bask within it.' What clearer
sign can you possibly ask for? Furthermore, the Paladin's Code supports
this, demanding that every Paladin be 'a priest, and preacher of the
Light, spreading the Divine word to the unenlightened.' However, some
would suggest we abandon these holy teachings in order to protect an
alliance. I feel they are misguided. Would you abandon your ideals for
the convinience of an alliance? I ask now not as a rhetorical question.
I have said my piece. If we are not followers of the Light of the
Supernals, then what are we?
Penned by my hand on the 14th of Avechary, in the year 112 CE.
