Your words

Kalodan:

While I am not one to burn a thousand gold coins just to put out a few
words on the public news stuff, the vomit that I produce everytime you
write stuff on cities just annoys me. From the way you talk, you almost
imply that every person who dwells in the Basin MUST follow the Laws of
Serenwilde and all parties somehow related to the aforesaid
orginization. IE: White Hart, Charune etc. etc. And because of this, we
MUST feel sorry for the "harm" done YOUR precious Nature for the
existence of Cities. I'm sure that when the Merian survivors fled what
is now Spectre Island to re-establish a home for themselves Nature did
take a few sucker-punches. Oh well. Here's a wake up call: The people
who dwell in New Celest, Glomdoring, and Magnagora really don't give a
flying rat's (or weevil's) behind about YOUR stinking laws!

Magnagora follows the laws set down by Morgfyre, Fain, Raezon the five
Demon Lords, laws set down by the ruling persons of the city and
probably a few other things here or there.
For New Celest, it's the laws of Terentia, Ayridion, Elostion, Lyreth,
Isune, the Supernals etc. etc. etc.
You get the picture. While some persons will follow some laws a little
closer IE: Persons of Terentia's Divine Order would probably follow Her
laws a little closer then the persons of Ayridion's Order and so on and
so forth.

I am a shard of the Nameless One, the Nameless Son of Yudhe. As such, I
am adaptable. Perhaps moreso then the other races. The dichotomy of
natural and artificial, good and evil, justice and injustice, Light and
Taint, City and Forest mean little to my kind. If by some strange twist
of fate, Magnagora and New Celest were to ally tomorrow and torch the
forests and the Ethereal Plane in its entirty I would be phased in the
long run as much as the Great Pyramids of Gaudiguch would in a strong
sand storm. So the balance of Nature and City mean little to me.

The Cities are here to stay, my friend. As is the their belief, trust,
hope, faith, whatever in the higher Cosmic and Elemental planes. I ask
at the very least, that you try to live with us. If you have a problem
with it, then talk to the Fates. After all, They were the Ones that
decided one day "Hey! Let's put these things called cities in along with
the Forests!" And if you are indeed so faithful to your Patron, Charune,
I ask you to remember this:
He harbors respect for the Aquamancers and the Geomancers, who are tied
to their respective cities by whatever force established those ties all
those years ago when the first Celestian Empire was growing. I wouldn't
be surpirsed if He also harbors respect for the Aeromancers and
Pyromancers as well.
