Your "comparison"

To you, Celestine:
While I find your appeal to compare Serenwilde to New Celest slightly
comforting and kindly. There are a few flaws in your argument that need
to be pointed out and addressed. First off, the histories state that Old
Celest and the Aquamancers were quite welcomed at first by the communes,
especially for their care in healing the waters of the world from the
touch of the Soulless. However, after time passed, your city's ancestors
grew power hungry and lusted for knowledge. Through that, it is that
reason why the Taint befalls our world now. I blame your city for this,
and I am sure that many in Seren blame your city for this too. Alas, I
can safely say from meeting a few individuals in your city, that the
lust for power has not been sated either. I suppose those who are
ignorant of the past are doomed to repeat it, but I digress.
You also claim that your city lives harmoniously with Nature. Let me
correct you there by stating this is utterly false. The very stone you
use and the very brick you build with came from the bounty of Nature
itself, something your city has consumed and abused quite a bit. You
forget that with your cities expansion, they continue to consume the
natural resources on this world. Indeed, your city is a scar upon
Nature, a grievious wound that harms Her so. If you need proof of this,
you might want to take a small look at the flooded park you have in your
city, and look at how it is devoid of any kind of plantlife due to the
fact that it is constantly flooded.
Brother Hart and Brother Raven banded together long ago to stop your
citie's encroachment upon Nature. You burn Her trees, you mold the gifts
of Old Man Rock, and generally again just abuse the gifts of Nature that
She has provided for the world. In the end, all I can say is that Nature
was the first thing upon this Basin, and it will be the last thing on
this Basin in the future. Your attempts of comparison are heartwarming
due to the fact that our organizations share an uneasy peace, but your
debate lacks evident validity and thus causes me to discredit it
entirely.
