I was unaware of that. However Lord Auseklis held Serenwild by the hand
while it's leaders were still dazed and confused from leaving the Portal
of Fate. In a time where we couldn't be sure as to what our values
truely were in those early years, Lord Auseklis patiently guided the
Serenwilde.
It doesn't change the fact that someone of Glomdoring knows so little
about a Divine that would likely Patrion Glomdoring just as soon as He
would Patron Serenwilde. He taught that the Cities were a scar, a
festering cancer on the Basin that needed to be cut back to keep from
taking over and destroying the Basin.
He cared nothing for the Light or the Taint. The Light was a zealous
concept of Celest, and he taught the Taint was just as apart of nature
as the trees. When Lady Isune approched Serenwilde early on on behalf of
Celest seeking an alliance, Lord Auseklis advised us as to the devious
nature of a city, that the cities cared nothing for the Basin itself,
and sought only to get gain. This became apparent when Celest, under the
order of her leaders attacked the Fae on Ethereal within the first few
years of the Portal of Fate's opening.
It was a hard lesson, however it has remained in minds of Serenwild ever
since.
