Celest's aggression

Amaru and Vesar,
The Celestine Empire is dead. I believe it is the intention of
Serenwilde to see that it does not rise again to threaten the survival
of the Basin as it did once.
No doubt a plethora of demands and ultimatums will continue to issue
forth from your resurrected self-proclaimed capital, futilely seeking to
cow the free peoples of the Basin into submission in the face your
murderous frustrations. I am quite certain your petulant cry for
Serenwilde to punish its own members (who merely attempt to release the
spirits of tortured and corrupted Fae) will only last until your people
turn their short attention spans to whatever shiny new issue draws more
attention. Do not assume that our memories are so short, or that our
determination to resist the evils of the Old Empire will be anything but
strengthened by your brutality.
You can lay the blame at whoever you like, but do not leave out your
defenders of the perversions who failed in their duty, or your diplomats
who failed to engage in reasonable discourse. When Serenwilde refused to
bow to the uncompromising dictates of a fallen civilization desperately
grasping at threads of authority long gone, it was you who declared
formal war and incited the whole of the Wilde to fertilize the sands of
Celestia with angelic blood.
Whose fault is it that the forbidden planes of the Unformed have been
breached and now swarm with mortalkind, channelling their unstable
energies to the natural world? Who was it who began the abhorrent
practice of perverting the blessed Fae spirits into playthings for these
confused and irreverent immortals? That some peoples of the Basin are
willing to work to restore the balance is a feat worth congratulating,
not condemning.
Now you presume to speak of peace when the screams of the holy Avatars
still ring in our ears? The Aspects of the Hart waver with their
guidance temporarily lost in the Dreaming merely to satisfy your
sadistic appetites, and still you issue the same outrageous demands and
expect us to treat with you as if your cause and your existence was
legitimate.
Our will is unchanged, and our devotion unwavering. We remember more
than you know, and we will not forget your warmongering.
In memory of a time without the Empire,
Elryn Greythane.
