Public News Post #78

My last word on the matter

This is the last time I will address this matter in public.

I have died five times for my taking of 150 power from the Mother. At
how much value do you hold a mortal life, Serenwilde? Very little, it
would appear. As a Tae'dae my growth and thought is very slow, and these
deaths have set me back by months in my learning. However, in a single
month your nexus has already regenerated the power I took from her, and
then some.

I am no traitor; if I am your enemy it is for the sole reason that you
made me so with no regard for my word. I broke no promises, did nothing
to assist your enemies, and never once have I raised hand against a
Serenwilder. Even in all the assaults against me I have never once
struck back, save for once gaining Vengeance upon Faethan, if you wish
to count that. A large fine has been placed on me for the Power, and
until I pay it I am banned from setting foot in the Serenwilde, so we
can consider that delt with, even though it was placed before the two
latest killings. As for my other offenses... there are none! There is no
law against leaving the Commune, and nor is there one for joining the
Crows. You'd might as well kill ever Magnagoran ten times on the same
basis that 'You threaten the forest!'.

Once again, Serenwilde (I refer to the entire commune because so many
who have worked against me held leadership positions, and those others
in power mostly refused to help; they are your representitives), you
have shown no regard to nature, the forest that you claim so dearly to
love, or to me, a former member of your ranks. You seek only blood on
your selfish crusade, in which the only goal is my suffering.

Yours in Nature,
Guido Flagg
