Enlightened

Aaahhh! I have been enlightened by the divinities. Greed is progress!
Indeed. It is progress indeed when two people butcher themselves over
the same treasure, it is progress when someone covets another's
climaxing into infidelity. It is progress when whole cities seek only to
expand and control destroying all within sight. It is do to progress
that a nurturing mother's babe extinguishes from prime existence, thanks
to a merchant's hefty charge. It is progress when the artist depicts the
subtleties of daily life, but so zealously guards it so no eyes may be
laid on it It is due to progress than people can't fully see each other
without doubt nor fear of treachery. And yes, all this progress is due
to Greed!

Some may believe that it is due to necessity that things are invented.
The need for protection may lead the blacksmith for forge his own
armour, it is the need to satisfy his needs that the blacksmith may
forge and place another armour onto sale. It is due to need for an
alchemist to appreciate the work of a herbalist that he reattributes,
and so the alchemist may satisfy the need for his own elixirs and the
need of others. It is because the herbalist needs to harvest and of
elixirs that he may gather nature's bounty and sell. It is because the
herbalist needs of nature that he must take care of nature. Though, we
must see that one thing is to commerce and another to extort. One thing
is to satisfy and another to indulge. One thing is to compromise and the
other to confront. Is greed the mother of progress or only the product
of progress and the first necessities are satisfied?

My apologies, I am none to question a god due to me merely being a piece
of flesh. This surely means that there are things beyond my
comprehension as I am very limited specially within my faculties. So, I
apologizes to anyone if I am found to be impertinent as I work with my
seemingly impotence within a limited spectrum, as the Divines surely see
and know all. But maybe, maybe it is due to my mortality that I can
suffer the great impact of daily life because every toll within it may
impact me dearly. Therefore, I cannot live as if I'll last an eternity!
Oh, the mortality! Woe is me!?

I ask of you, if greed is progress, progress of what? Is greed the
progress of a spirit's decadence? If so, we have then truly progressed!

Humbly to you,
Rajakhut, Voicer of the Unspoken

SIDE NOTE: If someone is really trying to create a clan of herbals to
protect nature's bounty, it is all great and good, especially if we all
do contribute, because herbs even when tended by the herbals benefit us
all. To all those who only focus on commerce keep in mind that the more
limited the market, the consumer is much more prone to yield to the
provider's demands. This proves to be very true on a market that the
sources are limited, commonly known as monopoly. By regulating herb
consumption, more herbals would have the opportunity to harvest meaning
there would be more sources available, and seeing how delicate process
that interacts with nature would be regulated, herbs would be ensured to
keep on growing. So it would be a win/win scenario. To those in charge
of raising the funds and giving the initial organization to such clan,
just keep in mind if people trust you and maybe you could make a regular
report of your progress.
