Your points

Oh what a delight it was to read your post, Raizan. I apologise for the
slowness of my response, I was allowing my assumptions to 'congeal'.
In order to prevent the Basin being mislead, I append these corrections
to your post:
- Nokraenom is a Geomancer. Nokraenom has never been Guildmaster of the
Geomancers.
- The Nihilist's blacklist has not existed since Bricriu's time. It has
certainly not existed since you came through the Portal of Fate, and
possibly not even before you were born. I wonder that you've heard of
it. Most Nihilists have not.
With regards the rest of it:
It was difficult to understand what you were trying to say as your post
was extremely poorly expressed. Indeed, it is always a good idea to pass
these public utterances by someone literate, or you make yourself look
extraordinarily foolish. This is something you might consider for the
future, Raizan.
I was excited by your definition of 'righteous vengeance', and I hope to
see it applied by your fellow order members in the future. If I
understand the logic correctly, if an individual commits a crime against
you, then you may take vengeance on every single person that individual
is associated with. After all, Narsrim was robbed by a Magnagoran, and
he has been taking vengeance indiscriminately on all Magnagorans. It is
a fascinating observation... And since Lady Terentia seems to arbitrate
ethics in the basin, and you are her representative, I must defer to
you. Narsrim, you are innocent. I acquit you of all charges. Lady
Terentia's spokesman says that when someone has hurt you, you may kill
all - to do this is to be righteous.
Of course, I do not worship the 'Even-Bladed' Goddess. Thus, I will not
be slaying every Celestian Novice I find because of slights inflicted
against me a decade ago. However, I will be sure to warn all Magnagoran
novices to take refuge behind out walls. After all, any Terentian may
kill them now, and be 'righteous'. Any Celestian may garote a child in
cold blood and offer its still cold body to the Goddess - for that is to
be righteous.
Moving on, although I don't know why I favour this idiocy with my
attention...
You invalidate my views because of supposed hypocrisy. Let us first draw
a line between the strategic destruction of a dangerous weapon against
Magnagora, and the wholesale pillage of the innocent. For your benefit,
Raizan, I will explain. The first is what transpired between Kaervas and
Narsrim, the second is what now transpires between Narsrim and all
Magnagora. I am fascinated by the way in which you exhibit your "moral
fibre, intelligence, [and] wisdom".
That aside, let us consider my hypocrisy. Narsrim is a member of the
Serenwilde commune. Notionally he is bound by their laws, and he serves
their ends. Is it entirely beyond the bounds of good sense that I should
judge him by his own philosophies? You are slow, so I will express this
more carefully: you adopt a Merian and a Human child. After some years,
the Human learns to swim, and you praise him. Do you congratulate the
Merian in like manner? Magnagora and Serenwilde have entirely different
philosophies and entirely different outlooks on life. It makes no sense
to judge one by the other's standards. The same point can be made again
against your rather extraordinary views on Nil. We both have completely
different views on the subject, so attempting to rationalise Nil for me
in Celestian terms is utterly fruitless. I wonder that you did not
consider this view point for yourself.. indeed, by your standards I
performed you a great service: warning you of the bandit before he might
strike again, so that you might hide your belongings from him.
In the spirit of Hallifax, I have used "some logic and reason win this
war of words". In truth, I think that I need not have bothered. Your
post is thoroughly infantile, and it will go down in the annals of
history as a prime example of why it is that idiots should not be
allowed to display their mental deficiencies before the basin. You have
embarassed your City, your Guild, and your Order. But you have amused
me, beyond measure.
