Simply put, you are wrong.
Queen Maeve herself said that Night has always been a part of her,
however it was a part of her that she surpressed being afraid of what
might come if she came to reconcile the conflict within herself. This is
similar to the process of what happens to us mortals after we walk
through the portal of fate, we supress and forget things about our past
and it takes courage and strength to akgnowledge things that we may not
want to acknoweledge.
After Viravain when through the process of bringing fae back to the
Glomdoring, and awakeneing the part of Queen maeve that was slumbering
deep inside (which did not allow the fae within the glomdoring to awake
themselves) only then was Queen maeve aware of the true nature of Mother
Night, for untill that time she was afraid of change. After witnessing
the glory of Mother Night, that fear was found to be only a fear of
awesome power, and not a fear of bad things to come.
Perhaps it will do yourselves well to actually listen to those you
appear to fanataically follow without thinking, rather than just
listening to the few self proclaimed prophets who have thier own desires
mixing in with those of the Great Spirits.
Take Lord Elcyrion's advice and stop basing all your "knowledge" on
traditions that no longer hold true.
