The Dwarven Kingdom, both Southguard and Rockholm

Addressed to: Everyone
Lord Thane Thoril, Lady Beldame Ethilwen,
I pen this for you both, after having failed to gain an audience with
either of you.
It is an explanation in part, an apology moreso, and a statement
further.
Magnagora and Serenwilde gathered atop the Peak, and met. Before that,
Rockholm had been terrorized by Magnagora, and we of the Commune could
not stop them. I heard the cries of the King of the Dwarves as he fell,
and it was as if I was hearing a sacred Moonhart be slaughtered.
We did as much as we could, which, adamantly, was not much.
Afterwards, we gathered, and we spoke.
The result was the Treaty posted that you both have seen and commented
upon. Davrick saw fit to comment on it, and I admit, perhaps his words
in light of not knowing the treaty, had basis. It was a poorly worded
exclusion at the bottom, "Except the Dwarves."
I admit, this should have been phrased better...
Serenwilde was not willing to barter in lives. We did not wish to see a
single dwarf left within the mines of Angkrag, cursed to remain undead.
We would not barter with lives which were not our own, and refused to
compromise. The Empire, on a parallel note, did the same, regarding
wishing all dwarves to remain dead.
We argued for well over a day upon this, vigilant that those we swore to
protect would not be bartered like pawns in a chess board. We would not
let them be cursed and undead. We also refused to prevent the Crowning
of the true King, or Queen, should the time come again.
We made a mistake, this time, by attempting such a treaty. While
intentions were true, it seems the context taken out of place, for when
we could not come to an agreement regarding it, we agreed to disagree.
Each would fight to protect those sworn to.
Now it has caused the distrust from the Dwarven Kingdom, which pains my
soul, and I feel shame for it.
In this, I offer my head to the Dwarven Kingdom, a small, but minute
apology to those who deserve more, and state that I will personally not
be willing to attempt to influence you and your kind away from your
current allegience, until a time when the Commune of Serenwilde can give
the protection it swears to.
May the Spirits protect us,
Merloch Averin,
High Priest of the Moon
