Yukari and I

Hail all who are wondering,

About two months ago I received a letter from a friend of my fathers,
signed K.E.A. The letter revealed a lot to me about my formerly unknown
parents. Yukari and I had very little memory of our father. Our memory
of our mother had not existed. We only knew what she looked like from a
painting our father had kept in his manse.

This post most likely has you wondering what that has to do with the
Commune, or why this is important. Yukari and I have learned that our
mother was the reason why we, this very day, are still living. Our
father had wanted to have us killed before birth, for reasons unknown,
we can only begin to wonder why. Perhaps he had not wanted children? Or
perhaps he was worried about the health of our mother...Whatever the
reason, the writer of the letter informed us that he, our father, had
not cared for us. Yuki Saitama, who was our mother, wished to let us
live and said that they would rid of us in another way. Our birth was
very hard on our mother, and she did not survive to see us past that
night.

Mephis Auralius, as our father was named, hated us horribly for, as he
thought, the murder of his poor wife. Though he wanted to have us
killed, his promise held his hands firm. Every day, on our birthday, he
would lock himself in his room and would not leave the room for any
reason. He had not celebrated our birthday for any reason, for it was
the day his wife had died. Five years later, he brought me to Ackleberry
Triple Junction. There he told me to walk south, down Ackleberry
Highway, and he would be there waiting, with Yukari. It was a game, he
had stated. Though, he did the same with Yukari. The only difference was
he told her to walk west, down Alabaster Road, with hopes that we would
not find eachother.

I walked until I reached Magnagoran, after waiting for a day, I wandered
back to Ackleberry Triple Junction, finding Yukari sitting there. We
were two five year olds, without parents any longer. I used to steal
food for my sister and myself, scraping foods from many places. Yukari
stayed in Serenwilde, where perhaps she may be able to find our father.
I stayed in magnagora, also hoping to recieve some sign of our father.
In the end, he never came back. What happened between this time does not
really matter any longer, though, in the end, we never knew what
happened, or why he left us.

Now, as you all know, we have a sister. Yuya Auralius. We also read in
the letter that she was from another mother, not that it wasn't obvious.
Every year, on our birthday, Yukari would walk back to Ackleberry Triple
Junction, in hopes that she would find something about our father. The
year Yukari and I turned twenty, Yukari walked her way to Ackleberry
Junction. As she walked, I did my traditional rounds of saying how
pointless it was, yet I still managed to follow her, needing to know she
would be safe. There, Yukari found Yuya. She pointed to the little child
sitting on the side, crying softly to herself. The two year old Yuya
turned to us, and, while we questioned her name, she answered. "Yuya
Awaweeus" She cried while mentioning "Daddy" And we took her in as
family. She was an Auralius. Yuya, the letter told us, was born as an
Auralius, though, she is our half-sister. The letter had not mentioned
her mother's name. Though, it mentioned the fact that her mother had
wanted to kill her. Mephis, remembering Yuki, could not have the child
killed. Due to both, his promise, and memories of his wife. He and his
wife left Yuya on the same day, at the same place. At that time Yuya was
at the age of two.

I write this post this day, not to inform you of our past, but to inform
you of a choice that will effect our future. From this day forward,
Yukari and I ask that we no longer be called Auralius. Instead, we ask
that we may be known as Saitama. We choose this to honor our mother, our
father would've been our end but she chose to give us life, and for that
we can never forget her. Due to the fact that Yuki was mainly the reason
Yuya was here with us also, we leave the choice of her last name to her.
She could keep Auralius, or we would willingly allow her to become a
Saitama as well.

Farewell,
Yuniko and Yukari - The Saitama Twins

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Shanthin, in the year 123 CE.
