Hail, The Iron Council
Firstly, I would like to thank the Council for appointing me as the
Steward of this great city. I am honored to be a part of this
Council, and will do my best to fulfill the city's needs. As the
Steward, I will be responsible for maintaining financial health for
our city and maximizing our revenue. In order to accomplish this, I
will be working very closely with the Treasurer, Chancellor and the
Minister of Trade.
As requested by the Warlord, the following amount of gold sovereigns
will be regularly available for the following Ministries:
Ministry of Power: 100,000 gold sovereigns
Ministry of Treasury: 100,000 gold sovereigns
Ministry of Trade: 50,000 gold sovereigns
Ministry of Chancellory: 50,000 gold sovereigns
The gold sovereigns will initially be transferred to the Treasury, in
which the Treasurer will be responsible for allocating the appropriate
funds for each Ministry. If any other Ministries feel that they
require a steady, constant supply of gold sovereigns, please contact
me with the amount of funds you feel are needed, and I will speak with
the Warlord for approval of the requested gold sovereigns.
To jump straight into concerns, it has come to my attention that a
large portion of our commercial business currently takes place outside
of the city shops and is instead frequently conducted in person. This
isn't exactly a bad thing - infact, many businesses can only be done
outside of shops. However, by examining our established shops, it is
evident that Magnagora's shops are lacking a large stock of consumer
products, especially herbs, vials, tints and sigils. Clothing on the
other hand doesn't seem to be an issue despite our lack of tailors.
I'd like to propose a campaign in which citizens with tradeskills are
strongly encouraged to create and sell their wares in our shops. Those
who do not own a shop can place their goods in their designated guild
shops or other shops owned by private citizens who are willing to
share storage space. We currently have 6 villages under our control
and we have a robust commodity shop full of commodities. Encouraging
citizens to create consumer products will increase our income from
commodities, and may also potentially circulate gold sovereigns in our
community more efficiently, boosting our economical strength.
I'd like to speak with the Chancellor and Minister of Trade before
finalizing this campaign. If any other members of the Council has an
opinion on this campaign, please contact me.
