Lately, as you might be aware and might even care, I have been killing
non-combatant members of Serenwilde. The idea is to kill a non-combatant
of Serenwilde for every such member of Glomdoring killed by yours.
Needless to say, it will be quite awhile before I catch up.
Doing this hurts me. The black sorrow is our only viable weapon at this
point, and it is not used lightly. At the request of a member of your
commune, I am making an attempt to end the killing of innocents by
raising an idea that may have been raised before, but at least after
this I can say I have tried after you predictably ignore or reject it.
Since you have pointed out peace is not acceptable, perhaps we can use
clan membership to identify warriors and not kill anyone not a member of
said clans. This would of course mean safety for villagers in Paavik and
non-combatant Glomdoringers traveling through ethereal. While there are
potential complications and other ways to work an agreement, it couldn't
hurt to try.
That said, if you refuse yet again to give negotiations a chance, we can
continue on with the slaying of the weak, helpless and uninvolved. While
I hold no leadership position in Glomdoring, it is to my knowledge that
the southern forest has always been open to negotiation, and this is
simply an idea. I will hold off for six months on the slaying of your
innocents, awaiting your reply if you choose to give one.
