Mounts

Greetings...
I don't post here often as well, but I thought it fit to voice my
amusement at this time.
The other day, my mount, my loyal, and my companion was slain. This
skeletal horse, while not emitting the warmth or compassion of a dear
friend, was a creature that followed me to Nil and back. It was also a
present, from Jack, to which I am much appreciative.
The point of this post, and source of my amusement, is how everyone has
dealt with the situation. Killing of loyals is underhanded,
mean-spirited, and sometimes costly. But what did I do, in my situation?
I sent a message to the horse's killer, telling him he should pay me
back, or I'd make sure that his blood would run thick over whatever hole
he crawled from. His children's children would feel the pain, as they
saw him ripped apart, again and again, without mercy.
Don't whine. Act.
As for the war, someone once said that all is fair in war, amoung other
things. Both sides suffer losses, some in normal combat, some innocent
bystanders, some healers, even. War, quite frankly, sucks. War is Nil.
Until this ends, and each side finds a grudging respect, or at least a
cessation of hostilities, we will have losses, acceptable and otherwise.
And Yrael? You owe me a horse.
