The Way of the World

Hail, Basin.

I interupt the debate of true strength and come now to speak of the
world as it is in my eyes. I come to ask for answers to questions whose
situations I cannot hope to fathom. I also seek to adress certain
factions.

My first statement is addressed to Magnagora:

I ask you something, Grand Empire - where is the might of the Taint,
that a single Furrikin could bring you to your knees? Perhaps not for
long, but, as many who grew up in the forests may know, a single wasp
sting can be a bother, but a thousand will kill you in short order. You
can slay me into eternity and back, Magnagora, but the Fates have chosen
my side in these events, and ever more will I step from the portal to
plot against you.

I hold no public allies in this, but you should know something, Mighty
Council - in my time within the Empire I have learned a very important
fact - it is, quite easily, more divided than either New Celest or the
Serenwilde. It is merely the fact that your usupers are silent that
gives you 'peace'. You can spend your time focusing on those who seek to
ressurect the Eternal Flame and the Matrix, but the truth remains that
their are more daggers awaiting a slot in your ribs within your own
deepest circles than without. I did not act alone. This is not over yet.

It says in the public scrolls referring to the city that Magnagora had
learned brawn fell second to brain, but, in the face of my ever
increasing deaths, and your forever aching pockets, I think it is
obvious no such lessons was ever learned.

---

To the Serenwilde Leadership:

And, yet again, you show your allegience to the Empire of Magnagora as
you ban me from your lands, calling me 'traitor'. This situation is
ironic beyond all belief, and to those who do not know the situations,
this may be somewhat enlightening.

How can you, those of the Wilde, dare have upheld any sort of argument
against Celest? You shout that they are not very light-like, and all
other sorts of nonsense, but, you, who claim to be against civilization
AND the Taint would ally yourselves with the utmost incarnation of both?
I believe that is the Wiccan alchemist's cauldron calling the chef's
kettle black.

Let us review your pacts, shall we?
1) You are allowed to hunt and kill within the Earth Plane so long as
you direct the dark essence into the Megalith, thus empowering the Taint
and Civilization even further.
2) You allow Magnagorans to run freely in the Ethereal plane, after all,
there's no harm in letting the people who feed your Fae to their bloated
Demon Lord mingle with the children, is there?
3) You will come to assist Magnagora in the case where it is ever raided
by New Celest. Yes, good way to destroy civilization, help protect it!
4) You will tithe commodities to Magnagora in exchange for them having
given you control of Dairuchi. Again, I can see how this is the absolute
model of independance, anti-taint, and anti-civilizaion attitudes which
you flaunt against Celest.

Now, all of this would be well and good by itself, but, there is icing
on the cake as well - Serenwilde opposes Crow. Obviously, that seems
like something they should do, but, let us compare Magnagora and
Glomdoring, shall we?

Glomdoring - Twisted by the Taint - Magnagora? CHECK
Glomdoring - Sought/seek ultimate power - Magnagora? CHECK
Glomdoring - Would seek to assimilate everything in its image -
Magnagora? CHECK
Glomdoring - The opposite of Serenwilde beliefs - Magnagora? CHECK

Hm, yes, I think we can all see that it is totally reasonable for
Serenwilde leadership to have ruthlessly killed anyone who sought to
raise Crow, while afterwards sitting down and having tea with a member
of the Magnagoran Iron Council.

---

To Celest:

I would like to apologize to most of you for any harm I may have brought
to the city. You granted me sanctuary for a time, and Daevos sought to
make you pay for that. So, in light of this, I shall accept the
descision which Mistie made on the subject, agreeing fully that I should
not enter the city in search of haven.

---

To the Black Market:

To your group, I do not know what to say. You now hunt me because I
"betrayed" you, when, in fact, it was my very existance which protected
you. More than once were you brought up in Council Meetings, in which
instances I kept any descision which would have lead to you becoming the
new Disciples from occuring. I commited my crime and then left your
group immediately. You were in no way tied to my actions. Richter doomed
the Market the moment he instituted the 'leave and die' clause, which
had already been reported to the Emperor by 'loyal' members of your
group. If anyone is to blame for the shambles you find yourselves in, it
is Richter himself - my departure was nothing but the removal of a block
to an occurance already in the works.

---

Now, to those who wonder about me:

What am I going to do now? I honestly have no true idea. I walk within
the Twilight, between the Light and the Darkness. I am lost, but even
after emerging from the Tainted lands, the virtue of my soul still
resides, at least in part.

It is clear in this world that not everything can be black and white. I
have stepped into this plane of mixed existance. Even as the darkness
moves to consume the day, the light is still embodied in the twilight,
becoming the pinpoints of starlight which can never be fully consumed.
Even as I am dimmed by the Taint I have endured, even though my methods
belong to those whom I fight, I shall continue to place myself at the
transition from day to night, holding it off for as long as I might
endure.
