A Viscanti and The Light

May you always walk in the Light, Celest.
I am still but young, but I hope that you will be able to find some
wisdom in this writing. As perhaps some of you know, I am a Viscanti who
has made a choice to walk in the Light. The Taint resides in my body
alone, for Estarra accepts my soul. However, because the Taint rests in
my body, I am not allowed in Celestia, for fear that my Taint would
spread. I agree with this, although I must admit it impinges on my pride
somewhat. In recent days however, especially given the recent raids, I
have come to the conclusion that the good of my city and the Light is
more important than my stubborness and pride. I will therefore be
reincarnating into a Merian, not for any advantages that may provide,
but so that I may better serve the Light.
This brings me to a pet peeve of mine, so if you're in a hurry, go ahead
to the next article! As a Viscanti, I have noticed, perhaps more than
others, the subtle discrimination in our city. Not only is our city
divided in Merian and non-Merian quarters, but our graveyard, and our
honored dead as well. I realize my concerns are relatively minor
concerned to some others we have, but often cracks on the surface cover
up cracks underneath.
May you always walk in the Light, and I thank you for your time!
Penned by my hand on the 16th of Estar, in the year 104 CE.
