Overharvesting

Now, I don't mean to sound like I'm whining, nor do I mean to point
fingers, but I have a really big problem with a few herbalists. It boils
down to this: those of you that overharvest need to have your brains
examined, if not smashed in.
Let's take horehound. Do you know how freaking hard it is to find
horehound? What little I do find is enormously expensive. I managed to
haggle the price on a small group of horehound down to about 50 per.
With a health potion requiring 4 horehound each, and other herbs being
so expensive, I can't get my prices for a refill down below 420 gold and
still make enough to feed myself.
I wandered around the various swamps a while ago, and I found a few
small horehound plants. I helped induce the plants to grow quicker, and
moved on. Next month, I come wandering through again, and what do I see?
All those nice plants stripped down to 1 blossom, or bare and dying. One
person, and there are witnesses, walked through all the swamps and just
about killed all the horehound, right before its hibernation month.
During hibernation, almost all the weakend horehound plants shriveled up
and died.
Now, I'm out of horehound. I don't mean that I stopped making potions
because I'm trying to save some horehound for myself. I mean that I have
a grand total of 1 horehound to my name. I've been asking frequently on
the Market, yet nobody answers. Those who do have small quantities of
horehound mark them up like crazy, just because people are desperate for
it and it's hard to find. People keep asking me for liniment, healing
potions, phlegmatic purgatives, and fire potions, but what do I have to
answer?
Sorry, I don't have any horehound.
Curse you, overharvesters!!
