To whom it concerns!

Jealousy!
Ahh, yes, dear friend.
With it, we may deftly deal in few words. At heart, the object of
jealousy must be desired; ironically, this is also what unravels it.
Consider!
What is it, pray, that we desire? Similarity, dress it up however you
like. To be understood, to be desired both despite and because of that
understanding...so that we can stop feeling so insecure, and spend that
energy on more enjoyable things, damnit!
As plain as the breaking dawn, we have arrived: If we are known and not
desired, they are not worth desiring. For us, that is; quite likely,
they would make a perfect pair with someone equally dissimilar to
ourselves. Ah well!
So!
Inspired to jealousy? Be chary!
It is, by definition, misplaced.
Oh, but wait! We are remiss! We have neglected to consider LUST in our
treatment of what we desire. Mm, but 'lust' is such a dirty
word...perhaps we should use the vogue diction and call it 'physical
chemistry'. That makes it something else, doesn't it? We all know the
feeling...'Wow! Who is THAT person?!' Mm, yes. What shall we say about
lust in regards to mate selection?
Nothing, in respect of what it deserves.
