The Manifestation of Mother Night

As the winter solstice drew near in 182 CE, Shadowdancers found their
sleep troubled by ominous visions. In these dreams, Daughters of Night
showed them an empty throne and Father Sun's form, enormous and
scorching. Soon, dream became reality as the apparitions manifested
before Shadowdancers even during waking hours, and a blazing light
flared in the southern sky.

The light drew both a contingent from Glomdoring and one from Celest to
the Skarch desert, whose inhabitants had all witnessed a solar flare
centred on Dairuchi. Dracnari villagers there quickly directed inquiries
towards their leader and prophet, The Most Venerable Dairuchi, Shimotabi
Xiim, who offered his visionary assistance if provided with a suitable
focus for meditation.

Reverend Celbina, Simimi Rakona first led the way to a desert oasis
where self-proclaimed guru Chendari Tloaka created an inspiring brew.
This brew eventually found its way to Cadiebi Ninchi, the artist
wandering upon Mount Zoaka. Many worked to provide him with supplies,
and Cadiebi eventually produced a perplexing work of art.

Upon seeing this painting, the venerable Shimotabi sank into a deep
trance, in which he uttered prophetic words about a union between Mother
Night and Father Sun, and a veil parting to reveal Night's abode in the
'vastness of the vast.'

The party from Glomdoring set out into the Aetherways and swiftly
discovered the Manifestation of Mother Night. Three Equinoxes - the same
three Daughters who had attempted to contact the Coven of Night through
their dreams - welcomed them with dire news about a threat to Mother
Night through Father Sun's growing influence.

The Avatar of Viravain, Kaervas d'Murani, rebuilt the Throne of Darkness
and aided Night's descent. As a reward to her devout, the Great Spirit
bestowed new powers upon all of Glomdoring, tied to a new nexus world
construct, the Tenebrous Altar of Shadows.

Meanwhile, the party from Celest stayed to speak with Shimotabi, who
revealed an interest in the studies of the desert hermit, Cle Lenaue.
The paranoid Cle did not react well to inquiries about her research, and
her greatest discoveries regarding the Hand of Tzaraziko remain her
secret to this day.
