Barl and the League

A dwarf by the name of Barl Cleaver entered the Basin, searching for the
dwarven kingdom. When he found the kingdom was split between Rockholm
and Southgard and the Crown of the Dwarven Lords was splintered, he
began searching elsewhere to pledge himself and find an apprentice. When
the people of the Basin began showing interest in learning his skills,
he relented and began teaching the skill of the Artisan to those who
were interested.

Later, three other strangers entered the basin: an igasho called Fraq
Slasher, a krokani called Erec Buster, and an orclach called Thes
Bonegrinder. They were looking for Barl to take him away. Apparently,
Barl was a member of the League of Elite Weaponmasters and these were
his compatriots. They were horrified that Barl was seeking to retire as
an Elite Weaponmaster and take up the profession of a cabinet maker.
Barl tried to hide from his friends rather than confront them, but after
a mad chase throughout the Basin, he was finally cornered.

However, rather than convincing Barl to come back with them, Barl and
the warriors who gathered around him convinced the League to stay in the
Basin. After some debate, they relented, settling in among the warrior
guilds and teaching the lost weapon styles of Pureblade and Axelord.
They also respectively brought back the native weapon skills of the
dwarves, igasho, krokani and orclach.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Dvarsh, in the year 122 CE.
