The Leprechaun Queen!

Old Cashel Connlaodh was the King of the Leprechauns who had recently
passed away. The leprechauns held a 5 month long wake, wherein they
became imbibed copious amounts of alcohol. During that time, King
Cashel's three children arrived by rainbow to Avechna's Peak in order to
claim the crown. First to arrive was Eileen Connlaodh who felt she
should be queen by virtue of being the eldest child of King Cashel. Next
to arrive was Seamus Connlaodh, a dark and foreboding leprechaun. His
followers felt that females should not lead the leprechauns but rather
the crown should pass to the eldest son, who was, of course, Seamus. The
last to arrive was Gilligan Connlaodh on a candy striped rainbow. He was
the youngest of his siblings, a carefree roustabout whose supporters
wished for him to be king as he represented the lighthearted, silly
nature of the leprechaun people.

Though laughter and revelry could be heard, nobody could find the
hundreds of leprechauns who had descended upon the Basin of Life. It was
later discovered that the only way to see a drunk leprechaun was to be
drunk oneself. Thus, people tried to influence the leprechaun election,
by helping one of the three factions collect the most shamrocks.

In the end, it wasn't even close. Eileen collected 6,737 shamrocks.
Gilligan collected 2,178 and Seamus only collected 1,208. In short order
Eileen was crowned Queen of the Leprechauns. Unfortunately, the
leprechauns seem to have developed a taste for spirits and the rainbow
of Queen Eileen has stayed on as she looks to those who will help her
sober up her subjects.

Penned by My hand on the 14th of Tzarin, in the year 260 CE.
