Return of Yirit Iborchi

All was quiet in the Basin on Shanthin 259 - that is, until strange
beasts appeared on the roadways outside Glomdoring, New Celest,
Serenwilde, and Magnagora. Bizarre, mutated cockatrices milled about,
attacking any who drew near, seemingly without purpose or reason.
Solanis Starfall was the first to encounter these creatures, though
Narynth Ysav'rai and Viynain Stormcrow were also quick to deduce that
something was not well in the Basin.

Approaching Filib Inseira, Narynth and Viynain questioned him concerning
his ties to the former League of Free Thinking Youths - or LoFTY - as
they recalled that similarly mutated beasts were in proliferation at
that time. Filib, though recognising the mutations, could not say more
than this, and when Kalaneya Nightshade asked about his erstwhile cohort
Yirit Iborchi, Filib responded that Yirit had not been heard from since.

Soon after, the cockatrices reappeared in greater number, growing so
bold as to enter the territories of these four organisations directly,
seemingly bent on attacking the stablemaster of each. In New Celest,
Pectus Dawneye, Inagin La'Saet, Unitos Dekoven, and Lorina Aurelianos
were the first to approach Astor Dekoven concerning the beasts - though
no information could be deduced.

Those of the Glomdoring returned to Filib, however, this time in the
company of Marina Whytetower. When taken to one of the mutated
cockatrices that had been largely tamed by the music of Talan Ysav'rai,
Filib deduced that faulty reagents were indeed the cause of these
mutations - the sign of an inept beastmaster, though Filib could not
guess who.

The 'who' was soon revealed, however, as vast hordes of the cockatrices
invaded Dairuchi and the Nomad Camp. Yirit Iborchi, who had been
punished for his misdeeds with menial labour under his relative Teaka,
was determined to enact revenge for the perceived injustice done to him.
Many flocked to the Skarch Desert to aid the beset Dracnari - of
particular note, Lehki Talnara of the Serenwilde, with the assistance of
Ilaveuse, Raeri, Tredian, Kreon, and Chalraes, was able to save the
beset Teaka from a particularly vicious gaggle of the beasts.

At length, defeated, Yirit Iborchi retreated to his hut in the foothills
on the northeastern side of the desert. His thirst for revenge has not
yet been sated, though what methods he will use to achieve it are as yet
unknown.
