The Trauma of the Silver Goddess

It was close to midnight in early Shanthin that wiccan's from the Coven
of the Moon and Moon worshiping Serenguard tribes people were stricken
with dreadful dreams that their beloved Mother Moon was beginning to
wane completely, her majestic body fading from the skies. Unsure as to
whether they were just nightmares, the basin carried on as usual until
the very hearts of the Moondancers began to sink, Mother Moon's once
radiant beauty had become merely a silhouette of her former self, each
follower weakened to the point of collapsing.

Gathering strength, the High Priest of the Moon, Solanis Starfall made
haste to the Ethereal Forest of the Serenwilde, only to find that the
Avatars of Mother Moon had vanished. Panic began to break out through
the Serenwilde Forest as news of the Avatars disappearance spread, many
members scouring the Forest for any sign of their whereabouts. Solanis
soon followed by Sadie and Kolios of the Shofangi Monks raced towards
the tree of Maeve, Queen of the Fae in a desperate hope to gather any
clues as to what was happening. Queen Maeve brushed them off without a
mere thought until she too began to feel a slight wave of weakness.
Unsure herself as to what was causing it, Queen Maeve directed the
gathering, that perhaps getting closer to Mother Moon would reveal some
answers.

Bowing their heads, the gathering ventured to Mother Moon's Abode where
they found a weakened and exhausted Ysun, Priestess of Moon. After a
tiring conversation, it was learned that three vessels held the key to
their weakened condition, three vessels which needed to be located with
haste before Mother Moon faded entirely. Ysun asked for the Sceptre of
the Moon to be constructed, an artifact which she could use to
strengthen herself in order to pinpoint the location of these vessels.
Unable to use the Sceptre to pinpoint the vessels herself, Ysun then
directed Solanis, Sadie and Kolios to give the Sceptre to each of the
three Keepers within Mother Moon's Abode, Kyraj, Gian and Hyshan.

The Sceptre was first delivered to Gian, Keeper of the Silver Mirror.
Upon using the Sceptre, her eyes became alight with silvery moonlight as
she chanted,

"Childhood wiles away the hours, lost in sweets and foolish dreams.
Skipping past the candied bowers, roaming near the treacle streams."

Joined by the Aether pilot Lehki, Solanis and Sadie flew their
algontherine to the aetherbubble of Crumkindivia where they discovered a
playful little girl. They conversed with the little girl for some time,
trying to get her to return with them, but all the little girl wanted
was candy and she wasn't going anywhere until she found some. They began
offering her pieces of candy, but none seem to satisfy her, until Sadie
found a red candy apple in the candy corn fields. Her cravings
satisfied, the young girl agreed to follow Sadie and the others to where
they wanted her to go.

The Sceptre of the Moon was then passed onto Kyraj, Keeper of the Silver
Basin who chanted,

"Freezing winds will chill the babe, turning cheeks so icy white. Still
she's laughing, never swayed, unconcerned with her plight!"

The aether crew flew their algontherine into aetherspace once again,
this time their destination was the aetherbubble of Frosticia where they
discovered a frantic midwife, tending to a snowlady. It was first
thought that the snowlady was the vessel, though carefully observing
them, Lehki soon discovered it was the midwife who they sought. Lehki,
Solanis and Sadie asked if there was anything they could do to help
them, the midwife eagerly asking them to gather several pieces she
needed in order to create the snowbaby. The group set out to gather the
items and upon adding them to the icy cradle, a snowbaby was born and
the snowlady was overjoyed. The midwife then agreed to return to Mother
Moon's Abode where she joined the young girl. Finally the Sceptre was
passed on to Hyshan, Keeper of the Silver Cauldron who chanted,

"Fond of flowers, fond of trees, the gentle one is on her knees. Beneath
the Old One, turning soil, she finds solace in her toil."

Confused for a time as to where the final vessel was located, Lehki once
again put the clues together and the crew, now joined by Drye and Masala
of the Spiritsingers and Lillie of the Moondancers, set out through
aetherspace towards the Tree of Trees. Upon reaching the bubble, they
discovered a pleasant old lady beneath the branches of the Old One,
digging around in the soil. After some cheerful conversation and the
retrieval of a watering can and some fertilser, the old lady planted a
small seed in the earth which grew into a towering sunflower which
reached high into the boughs of the Tree of Trees. The old lady then
accompanied the aethercrew back to the Priestess Ysun, joining the young
girl and midwife.

Ysun, Priestess of Moon once again took up the Sceptre of the Moon and
encircled by the Moon Coven lead by High Wisdom, Riluna Mes'ard, called
upon the powers of Mother Moon. A sphere of radiant moonlight engulfed
the three vessels, their figures now only silhouettes within the
spinning sphere. The sphere rose off the ground as the form of Mother
Moon grew brighter, her majestic body shining brilliant once more.
Silver light flared so bright it blinded everyone, before the sphere
exploded into countless motes of light and all that remained once the
light subsided was a shining figure, the vessels made whole to reveal
Lisaera, the Silver Goddess.

In Her weakened state, Lisaera explained that during Her meditations,
the powerful thought forms of the Soulless God, Zenos disrupted Her
essence, splitting it into three. What effects this had upon the Silver
Goddess is still unclear, perhaps time will tell.

Penned by My hand on the 10th of Roarkian, in the year 256 CE.
