The Masterpiece of Isune

In the early months of the year 223, the long-absent Isune abruptly
reappeared within Celest. Her manner, however, was distracted and
thoughtful, and Her appearances brief. She began to speak of a
mysterious creation, naming it Her masterpiece.

Some months later, Maylea arrived in Celest, seeking Her absent friend.
Appeals to Isune via the city aether succeeded in attracting the
distracted goddess's attention, and She returned to the city to greet
Her friend. She soon invited Maylea and a number of others to visit the
quiet glade that was once Her resting place, now the residence of a
strange sculpture.

The sculpture was introduced as Inedra, a creation over which Isune had
laboured for several years. Taking the form of a beautiful female, the
sculpture showed some signs of animation, capable of weeping, of
laughter, and of a number of other actions and emotions. Its purpose had
been to absorb the more extreme of its mistress's emotions, leaving
Isune free of the excesses of private sorrow, of over-effusive joy and
other moods that had long assailed Her.

Rejoicing in Her freedom, Isune has since returned to Her former
position within Celest. Her curious creation remains in the glade,
awaiting an undetermined future.

Penned by My hand on the 8th of Roarkian, in the year 223 CE.
