Tale of an Aslaran Lost

"Hellooo?" the voice yelled through the Mumhatuti Hive. "What is this
place?"

It was Melville d'Murani who first heard the voice and discovered its
source. Confused, lost, and suffering from a blow to the head that had
destroyed many of her memories, Bahna Fleetpaw had not a clue what she
was doing or where she was going, only that she was sure she had some
place to be. Joined by other family members, Melville took the lost
aslaran to Magnagora and then the Grey Moors as she panicked under the
open sky and grew ever more confused, eventually fleeing to pursue her
own ends.

Some days later, Bahna was seen several more times. She wandered into
the forest of Glomdoring and was again taken to the Grey Moors, though
she mistook an offer of sanctuary as a threat on her life. From there,
she fled to Stewartsville, soon overwhelmed by a large number of
Celestians who only wished to help her. Seeking a measure of comfort,
Bahna eventually made her way into the Hifarae Hills and there secluded
herself within one of the burial mounds, expressing surprise that it did
not extend further into the ground. It was here that she was advised to
follow her feet, in the hope that she might find her way, and Bahna
again disappeared, blithely attempting to adhere to the kind advice.

Not long after, Bahna was again heard shouting for help against some
sort of scaly creature attacking her, and it was the blademaster Shuyin
and Kalas Alianna who found her in Muhanlesh. They defeated the nagakali
attacking her and whisked her away to Shanthmark. Under the advice of
Adaeze Longtooth, the Serens gave a betyl leaf to poor Bahna, and
finally she was able to piece together a coherant story. The cavern had
collasped on her, she claimed, and she fell and went through a crack in
the wall into the Undervault near Muhanlesh, wandering from there until
she stumbled across Melville.

It took the Serens little time to group together and follow Bahna's
directions, and Kalas Alianna was the first to push through a pile of
rubble and into the Kryden Valik. Here, the Serens found a society of
aslarans cut off from and suspicious of what they called the Other
World. It quickly became apparent that not all was as it seemed,
however, and Rika Talnara discovered a way to enter the temple at the
centre of the encampment and talk to the people within.

As the Serens investigated the temple, a group of Magnagorans arrived.
Soon, fighting broke out through the encampment, and though many of the
aslarans fell in the fray, eventually the Magnagorans were driven away.
Spurred on by the truth of the place discovered in the temple, the
Serens set out to aide one of the aslaran, a maiden named Feyahi
Stoneclaw, attain her desire of leaving the Kryden Valik and going out
into what she called the Other World. It was Xiel Talnara who finally
convinced the aslaran to allow Feyahi to leave, and with great joy she
found her way to the Grey Moors and Bahna.

Though there was a happy ending, many questions remain unanswered. Who
exactly are those the aslarans call Gods? Why is the encampment so
secluded from the rest of the Basin? And why do the aslarans seem to
have such short memories?
