The Tainting of the Fae, Part II

Magnagora finally succeeded in raising Crow to greatness, his dark
feathered form immediately attacking Serenwilde, putting out the sacred
Flame of Glinshari. Indeed, this was Magnagora's scheme all along for
they immediately travelled to the Faethorn Realm and in an attempt to
kidnap the wild fae there. Great battles were fought on the ethereal
plane as both Serenwilde and New Celest rallied against the Magnagorans,
and great rivers of blood gushed throughout Faethorn.

In the end, the Magnagorans were only able to kidnap three of the wild
fae. But even with only that small amount, their rituals spouted forth
dozens upon dozens of tainted fae, who travelled throughout the Basin of
Life, tainting the land and stealing power from the Moonhart Mother
Tree, the Pool of Stars and from the Basin itself. Reports of the
tainted fae becoming stronger, wilier and more numerous spread quickly,
and they were killed by the efforts of Serenwilde and New Celest.
Exhausted, Magnagora was unable to continue their enormous experiment to
see where it ultimately would lead.

Now, an uneasy quiet falls across Lusternia, leaving many questions of
the future hidden within the Book of the Fates. Will Gorgulu ever be
defeated? Will Magnagora ever be able to taint enough fae to finish
their experiment? And if Magnagora can ever finish what they began, what
will the results be, this mixing of the magics of nature and the cosmos?

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Tzarin, in the year 107 CE.
