12.2.6.6 THE RHIZODA MANGROVE

Located in the northern Inner Sea, near the Moon River estuary, legends whisper of a mysterious island called the Rhizoda Mangrove, which is home to many peculiar fae and fauna adapted to mingled salt and freshwater, as well as the fluctuating tides. Though Rhizoda is renowned for its lagoons and its mangroves, where trees grow in the shallows upon enormous prop roots, the isle's once fabled fruit has withered and decayed under some strange, malignant influence. The beautiful nereids of Rhizoda welcome visitors, especially those seeking to help rid their home of the bog-dwelling creatures they blame for the isle's blight. Yet some sailors whisper that those unfortunate enough to be shipwrecked upon Rhizoda are destined to never return home...
