Hyde/Esano/late-Alger vs. Phoebus/Ridley/Saran

Good thing there's no Ninjakari to fight in Australian prime time.

wtb 10,000 willpower. sad.gif

Linky link.

edit:

Phoebus tells you, "Mmconfig cleansetype spell."

You tell Archmage Phoebus Skyplume, Keeper of the Four Winds, "I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT OPTION FOREVER THANK YOU."

Phoebus tells you, "Haha."

That was a fun fight. happy.gif I managed to get two heartbursts in there! Though the first one wasn't in this log.

Also yeahhh, rainbowclouds has some...problems. Works against tumble, works against dead people. I've trapped more poor souls in the arena than I'd like to count. suspicious.gif
Esano2010-11-22 15:48:45
Can we nerf Air? Chasing there is damn impossible, even without aeromeld.

EDIT: And nice to see how close we got you with vessels. As I said, chasing on Air is impossible. sad.gif

DoubleEDIT: I also note you cut out the earlier part where we heartbursted Phoebus. Misrepresentative! Here, for Phoebus' enjoyment (Phoebus's kill) and less enjoyment (my own):

@furien:

Just curious, why don't you set a toggle for enabling/disabling illusions? Seems like you were hitting your team as much or more than you were hitting the enemy.
Shamarah2010-12-03 16:12:12
Doesn't using recklessness and addiction in the same combo kinda defeat the point of addiction?

@Esano: How is Air worse than the other elemental planes?

I actually find Air the hardest to navigate, even with the winds, because the map makes it seem to loop and there's no distinguishable features for it. With Water I could easily find my way around it even if I wasn't an Aquamancer due to the map, though all the names being the same is kinda annoying. And I have other problems with Water, but that's another story. Earth, I can navigate the lower levels, anything after that is kinda confusing for now. Fire is pretty easy to navigate imo. It's not that hard to find the archway, Flame, or Fire Lords/Ladies. Only things that make it hard are being pushed around by the fire.
Unknown2010-12-03 16:23:19
PROTIP: The Air Lords are up from the only center room in the airstream that doesn't look like it has an up exit. teach.gif
Shamarah2010-12-03 16:30:31
The up-rooms all have different names, you can use that to help navigate by squinting up.

This is the only way I manage to find my way around. Plus, fun fact: if you fly, the currents don't get you!
Sakr2010-12-03 17:39:26
beginning of the shrine influence to the left side is in that up entrance the archway, two rooms over is the nexus, and the place with no up shown is the wind lords. Pretty simple. Now Cosmic, that's annoying.

Every room in air has a unique name. You can use that to help every time you move.

I mainly don't know how to code one, so I use fairly harmless illusions (impatience) than anything particularly hindering. At worst, for my allies, it's a brief disruption of herb balance and a loss of insomnia. It's hilariously spammy in fights but not particularly lethal since they're not the ones being telepath'd.

Sham:

Depends on the person. Messaged you ingame.

Because there are very few pathways to take to get to your destination, and they all tend to cross at many, many intersections. The effects that blow you out and around to different rooms move to different exits in different rooms, so even if you know the room you want to get to, the limit on exits and pathways can result in you getting pushed out of that room 6-8 times in a row. They also seem to change much less frequently than on other planes.

I've once been moved out of my target room 14 consecutive times on Air, just so I could snag the last stalker. censor.gif

Fly, move, land?

That's what I often do.

Your logic has no place here.
Esano2010-12-04 07:14:46
It's also not possible to fly in an aeromeld.

And, of course, the waves can actually knock you to adjacent to the nexus (luckily it seems they can no longer knock you onto the nexus). You're still very screwed, with the only escape being cubix or hoping there's no guards.
Unknown2010-12-04 07:40:01
Fire also has four rooms which are like that - you have to get past the Nexus to get to the rest of the area. Very annoying when you're moved into that space :<
Asmodea2010-12-04 08:29:10
So fly out of it. Or run passed the guards. smile.gif

Edit: Didn't see the previous response from Esano, but you can still fly out if there is no aeromeld. They don't have bard guards yet so you can run out
Rika2010-12-04 08:33:06
One day, they're going to get bards too.

Or you could run around those four rooms until you get knocked out again?
