Greetings, all peoples of the Basin,

I would like to speak to you all about my bid for Ascension, and my
thoughts on why I feel I am an appropriate candidate for support.

For those of you who have worked with me in the past, who I imagine are
largely citizens of Magnagora, you will know that I am dedicated,
fair-minded, and a reasoned individual. My ability to do paperwork and
gather power for a nexus will be largely irrelevant however, were I to
Ascend. As Visaeris pointed out in the previous public post, whoever
holds the Staff of Ascension will be able to seal up Kethuru, therefore
my qualities are largely irrelevant in these considerations as well.
Ultimately what is important is how I think, act, and will continue to
act when I Ascend.

I am the bearer of the Seal of Knowledge, and I have always sought to
find the truth and greater knowledge of the multiverse in my endeavors.
I have studied the ancient histories many times over and I am
well-placed to understand what my place will be and the role of each
city and commune. I realize the power of knowledge as a tool, a simple
fact evidenced by the ability of culture to contribute to the
metaphysical power of a nexus, among other things. Knowledge is one of
the primary motivators of all things. It was an Elder God of the Fifth
Circle, Xyl of the Truthseekers, who identified the coming onslaught of
the Soulless Gods. I wear the Seal of DVarsha, the merian scholar who
first discovered the ability to create Vernal Gods to fight the
Soulless, and it was knowledge that motivated Shanth to recommend the
Merging to ultimately create Avechna the Avenger. An Ascended God that
follows the path of knowledge will be a great asset to all, the benefits
of knowledge are an essential defense against the onslaught of oblivion,
whether that threat be the Soulless Gods or otherwise. As one more
example, it was two Elders that followed paths of knowledge that undid
the folly of the nexuses and their destruction of the planar balance.

As you can tell, another quality I possess is the ability to write long
posts. I will make the rest of this brief. I am not a warrior, and I am
not a politician. I will not claim to be anything more than I am. I am a
scholar and a historian, and this is not likely to change were I to
Ascend.

I will always be willing to discuss my qualifications or desires
regarding Ascension with anyone who wishes to speak with me further, and
I hope you all find the wisdom to support the best candidate. Lastly,
let me say that I am honored to bear a Seal alongside such esteemed
individuals, and I am glad to have such worthy competition.
