I'm sorry!

Addressed to: Fain, of the Red Masque

Sorry
The Divine Order of Fain the Red Masque has asked me to publicly
apologize in order to lose my status as an enemy to them. I thought I'd
go one step further and even explain my motivations for my actions so He
could judge me for Himself. Being a bard, I thought it best if I did
this in verse. Sorry if this bothers anyone.

Apology
Red Masque, and flashing flame!
Glutt'n, greed, po'er 'n fame!

These are what thoughts I think of You-
Lord Fain! I am sorry to You.
I raided a Plane, Lord Fain,
A holy plane, a plane called Nil.
My city asked and up I got,
Off to war without second thought,
For if I had, they'd have a word,
Traitor.

A powerful word, one I despise
Thus I raided Nil, n' to my surprise,
You gave me phantoms- they terrorize
Why was I punished, oh Lord Fain?
Your shrines I avoided for fear of pain,
The world o'Nil you owe no debt.
So why does the great Loyaless
Show loyalty?

So I, am sorry, Lord Fain!
I meant You no harm.
I thought nought they were dear-
Those of the tainted sphere.
Indeed I thought
You cared for any- not!

and
To you, dear Loyen,
The gold you desire
I work to acquire.
But I have finished one task-
My apology was begun
And now it is done!

Shaeden

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Dioni, in the year 163 CE.
