Novice Suicide

Basin,

An amazing and interesting thing came to me this day while I
prepared to celebrate my seventy-third birthday, a novice shrouded
in tears entered my Forest. Come by the ways of the portals of the
fates.

She had been to Serenwilde, and had been ignored and shunned of
any attention. She had been threatened in Celest, and been insulted
in Magnagora. Due to my own Forests laws I peacefully escorted her
to Mount Avechna and discussed with her there to see what was wrong.

She looked around the basin and was met with hostility at all sides
and would have committed suicide, apparently I was the only person
who had even been willing to talk to her.

Cruel is the world, where all people turn away those who just stepped
out of the portal of fate, and treat them so that they must be disuaded
from committing suicide. Perhaps Basin, we should look to ourselves
a bit more, for if those who enter this realm through the portal of
fate are so treated, I guarantee this realm will not long afterwards.
New souls are imperative to the survival of this society, think before
your actions altar their lives, and keep them from ever coming to
dwell here in our world. For everyone you chase away through cruelty
harms the entire basin and its weave as their soul no longer provides
cohesion to give the great tapestry strength and diminish its beauty.

Atropes was held off this day, but what of the next?
Think before you act Basin, the young are fragile.
