Public News Post #748

Response to accusation.

While I find it somewhat surprising that one of the Gloomfolk would
accuse rather than congratulate us for enslaving the Fae after their own
example, it is unfortunately not the case here.

The policy of the Serenwilde at this time is to allow those Fae who feel
they can survive in Maeve's darkened reign to do so without hindrance.
That one of our individuals chose to exercise a different course of
action has prompted much discussion about how we as the commune should
react to the lamentable situation. We are quite capable of determining
our own stance without your efforts, and I would encourage you to
eliminate your own hypocrisies before pointing at imaginary others.

The corruption of Maeve away from the service of the wilderness has sent
ripples of confusion among our people, who have traditionally revered
and worshipped all living Spirits as infallible. Now that a great many
of the Fae are willingly abandoning their true purpose as Spirits of
Nature, we must undertake deep reflection on the implications these
terrible events hold for the health of the Basin.

If you seek an official response, you are welcome to speak directly to
our leadership as others in your commune already have. It isn't terribly
difficult.

For the living realms,
Elryn.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Shanthin, in the year 148 CE.
