The Aethercity of Deepnight

Salutations, Richter.
I am afraid I must take issue with your prior post in the news scrolls,
as it is quite inaccurate. My own aethersphere, the Forest of Avaerin,
has in the past been raided by those from your city.
When I warned you of the violence that was emerging from within it, you
attempted to convince me quite defensively that you were simply a much
maligned public figure, a innocent victim of uninformed finger pointing.
Unfortunately, assumptions work both ways. It is not difficult to track
the movements of one's enemies through the Aetherways, by use of Brother
Wolf's scent or the sight of the mystic third eye. I know exactly where
my raider came from, and I have not forgotten the lack of action you
took in response. Do not assume that all accusations are baseless, nor
made by the foolish and ignorant.
It is not unexpected that such criminal activity should follow from the
sorrowful establishment of yet another city within the Basin of Life,
and I do not believe you are any more responsible for it than any other
cityfolk who have forsaken the ways of the Wild.
I can only urge you to turn away from this dangerous path, and hope that
in time you instead decide to follow the ideal of the original Communes
- living in harmony with the natural world, not sequestered from it
behind walls of both stone and ignorance.
Until then, may the Aethercity of Deepnight at least find the peace you
desire.
Elryn Greythane.
