Flow and Raiding

An interesting conversation occurred today between the Hierophant of the
Hartstone, Elryn Greythane, and myself regarding the issuance of enemy
statuses. I want to make my position on this perfectly clear to all in
the Basin, and particularly those in Serenwilde and Magnagora who might
be affected by this change.
I recently enemied a young Druid by the name of Nelfiol for serving as a
target for Elryn to repeatedly flow to as he hopped back and forth in
rapid succession between the Ethereal Serenwilde and the Catacombs of
the Dead, where he was proceeding to attack myself, Tsakar, Alger, and
others, who had merely come to defend the Catacombs from the aggressions
of him and several of his cohorts. The Catacombs of the Dead are a
sacred ground to the Ur'Guard, and indeed to many Nihilist necromancers
as well, who hold the Vernal God Urlach and the early Ur'Guard in the
highest tiers of respect.
It later became clear after speaking to young Master Nelfiol that he was
exploring the Ethereal Plane for the first time, and was not asked his
consent in Elryn's repeated attacks upon the Catacombs and Magnagora's
citizens. I found it reprehensible that Elryn would not seek the consent
of Nelfiol in serving to further his attacks upon the Catacombs, so I
removed his enemy status. However, this will be the only case where this
occurs.
To those who would raid the Catacombs or Magnagoran territories and seek
to flow away to hapless targets, only to return to these territories
shortly thereafter: be warned that you will earn for these targets an
enemy status from Magnagora. I seek not to restrict those who would
escape with their lives for accidentally intruding upon these
territories, so there shall be no penalty for the first attempt to flee:
you are given the benefit of the doubt that it is an accident. However,
if it is clear that you are abusing others for the sole purpose of
returning again and again to attack these territories within a day of
having left them before then your flow companion, be they witting or
unwitting, will be branded an enemy likewise.
There are two things you can do ensure that a companion who is hapless
is not adversely affected by this:
1. The easiest way to avoid such a problem is to ask the compliance of
your fellow nature adherent beforehand. If they are willing to accept
the enemy status from Magnagora, or are already an enemy, then there is
not a problem as far as you are concerned.
2. You may pay the fine for them to be unenemied. If you have not the
tact nor decency to seek the compliance of your fellow forest-dweller
before violating them unwillingly with your ability to flow easily
through the forests, then you should at least have sense enough to help
them remedy the problem you have created for them.
It is unfortunate to say, but Elryn has been outraged that Magnagora
should take steps to ensure that the loss of life and bloodshed in its
territories and sacred places is minimized, particularly as he was
caught abusing the naivety of Nelfiol, who was shocked to learn what was
occurring when he was enemied. As such, he has threatened he will brand
everyone standing at the Megalith of Doom an enemy of Serenwilde
whenever a Magnagoran teleports to the nexus.
This is clearly a reckless policy with little forethought, and so I urge
him to turn back from such a course, and urge the people of Serenwilde
to let him know that you do not condone such warmongering behavior. If
it comes to pass that he is permitted to begin such a dangerous policy
that cherishes quick judgment, careless abandon, and an utter disrespect
for the sanctity of life, then I will see the favor returned to
Serenwilde. However, I do not believe it will come to this, and hope
that Elryn will see the err in his judgments or, failing that, his
fellow Serenwilders will restrain him from such fanaticism.
