Semantics

Hail and well met, all save for a few citizens of the Basin.

To be completely honest, I regret having to intervene in the foolish
display of infantile fanaticism that we are all being subjected to via
the public boards. I have attempted to the best of my ability to ignore
the juvenile ramblings of Kalodan, because to respond would be to admit
that his idiocy has succeeded in annoying me. Given, however, that you,
Kalodan, seem content to have no other purpose save to act as an
annoyance, I am forced to lift my pen in defense of every vaguely
sensible creature in the entire Basin of Life.

The fact, Kalodan, is that your foolish commune is guilty of each and
every one of the offenses you credit the Glomdoring Forest with
committing, and one additionally: denial. Becoming subordinate to a
city? Check. Allying yourself with a foreign power due to an inability
to defend yourself against superior forces? Check. Reducing your BELOVED
queen to the status of a mere vassal of the Supernals? Check, check and
check. To suggest that the Serenwilde Alliance with New Celest is
nothing more than a gathering of individuals is semantics of the
stupidest variety. There is another name, Kalodan, for a gathering of
individuals with which I feel that you might be familiar: a commune.
What you attempt to convince us of is that "We do not speak for any one
group - we are simply a large collection of affiliated, like-minded
people, who happen to all hail from - and comprise the majority of - the
same population." Or, to extrapolate, "We are a collective, not a
Commune." Truly, an example of vocabulary gone wrong. I suggest you
purchase a new thesaurus before you attempt to play logic games.

Furthermore, one final allegation is made in your words to which I must
respond: Mighty Crow is not a Demon Lord of Nil. I and much of Magnagora
have nothing but respect for that proud entity, but our Lords and Lady
do not count him among their number. However, to call him such, even in
jest, is to imply that he is a member in good standing of a group of
powerful beings that regularly triumph over the pale imitations that you
- I beg your pardon, that New Celest - serve. Truly, I feel that were it
not for Crow's well-established dislike of cities I would go so far as
to say that he would be largely unoffended by your baseless accusation.
YOUR foolish Matron, however, the Queen of the Fae, or the Lady of the
Moon, or whatever - she, or they, are nothing but Pawns of the so-called
supernals, unworthy even in the eyes of their supporters to stand
beside, instead of beneath, the powers to which they ally themselves.

And last, but not least: if you and half the bloody collective of
Serenwilde claims that your commune has no control over your actions is
to imply an incompetence on the part of the Forest that no-one else in
the Basin has ever attempted to claim. Magnagora takes responsibility
for the actions of its citizens, because we are a united Army with a
unified cause. So which is it, Kalodan? Is your commune a group of
foolish sycophants - or simply impotent?

Speak carefully with the members of your commune before you reply. I
feel they may resent the implications of your rashness.
