To the Great Orcs of Acknor, The Holy Teachings of Methrenton

Written by: His Holiness, King Galvadore, the Starsailor

The way of Methrenton, the strength of holy righteousness, this comes
from one simple practice, honour.

Honour means that your strength comes from humility, patience, and
courtesy.

Humility means that no matter how strong you are, you remain respectful
and humble. The strongest of the strong has no need to flaunt his power.
Others simply will know, and respect that. One who is strong will also
respect one who is stronger. Rather than be angry, jealous or
disrespectful, one would humbly ask to be taught how to become stronger,
and the strongest would honourably teach the worthy. The humble man
knows that what he takes by force can also be taken from him by greater
force. The greatest force is this wisdom.

Patience means understanding that things do not happen as one desires
immediately. That one must wait for the proper time to act, allow others
time to come to understand. The patient hunter is strong because he can
wait hours or even days for the proper moment to strike at his prey. The
patient warrior knows that he must wait for the proper time to attack
his enemy, and that it takes a lifetime of training to perfect his
skill. The strongest know patience, to teach others how to work and
fight, for the strength of the whole tribe. It is only the weak, the
ignorant who seek the quickest and easiest solution, for that way is
defeated quickly and easily.

Courtesy means to treat others as one would wish to be treated. If a
warrior wants to be respected, he will give all people his respect, and
all will bow to his might. He will not force his ways on anyone, not
wishing to have anything forced upon himself. Those who are free to grow
strong should allow others that freedom. Those you treat with courtesy
will return that courtesy if they are wise and strong. And the strongest
will be humble and patient with those who do not yet understand. This is
the way of greatness.

That power that is not arrogant, quick to anger and disrespectful, that
is the true power of the Light. Through honour and service to the Light
one will see the greatest power, the greatest reward, for this power
comes from wisdom and understanding of correct conduct, not from muscle
or skill alone.

The wise will become the strongest upon meditating on these words.

His Holiness,
King Galvadore, the Starsailor

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Avechary, in the year 121 CE.
