Overhunting of green and gold adders of the Oleanvir Valley

The green and gold adders of the Oleanvir Valley are not a hardy
species. Like most animals, their health is best preserved by hunting
them to only a limited extent. But more than most, they are vulnerable
to overhunting, which causes their numbers to dwindle measurably and
swiftly.

If you hunt in the Oleanvir Valley, do feel free to hunt an adder or
two. Do *not* hunt them all. Slaying too many in too short a time
weakens them; their numbers dwindle and do not recover. If not for the
hard work and sacrifice of some, they would have been lost to the Basin
entirely by now, and if enough people overhunt them, they may yet be
lost to us.

If you benefit from hunting them in any way, even just the enjoyment of
pursuit, then it is in your best interests to hunt them only in
moderation. It benefits no one to overhunt them. Please keep this in
mind when you visit the valley.
